    Sinopse

Heterocyclic chemistry is the branch of chemistry dealing with the synthesis, properties and applications of heterocycles. A heterocyclic compound or ring structure is a cyclic compound that has atoms of at least two di erent elements as members of its ring(s). In contrast, the rings of homocyclic compounds consist entirely of atoms of the same element. The text Heterocyclic Chemistry provides a concise overview of the main principles and reactions of heterocyclic chemistry. In rst chapter, we synthesize some new heterocyclic compounds triazine, triazole, oxazine, and primidine based on the bifunctional electrophile azoniaallene salts. Synthesis and molecular docking studies of some novel heterocyclic compounds containing sulfonamide moiety have been presented in second chapter. Third chapter focuses on e cient utilization of 6-aminouracil to synthesize fused and related heterocyclic compounds and discusses their evaluation as prostate cytotoxic agents with Cathepsin B inhibition. Fourth chapter discusses the utility of 2-methyl-quinazolin-4(3H)-one in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds with anticancer activity. The aim of fth chapter is to exploit the biocatalytic promiscuity of lipases to promote the trimolecular Mannich type condensation, in order to obtain new compounds with biological potential. Uses of 3-(2-Bromoacetyl)-2H-chromen-2-one in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds incorporating coumarin have been described in sixth chapter. Synthesis and broad-spectrum antiviral activities of some novel benzo-heterocyclic amine compounds have been presented in seventh chapter. The purpose of eighth chapter is to compare the ability of the myricetin and quercetin to modulate the oxidative DNA damage induced by heterocyclic amines in human hepatoma cells using the single-cell gel electrophoresis assay. Supercritical uid chromatography has been discussed ninth chapter. Tenth chapter report the reactions of -oxoanilide with some electrophilic and nucleophilic r
