JAVA BY EXAMPLE -3E

JAVA BY EXAMPLE -3E

Focus is on programming utility & basic language features.Java by Example focuses on basic features of the Java language, vis-a-vis other programming languages, with special emphasis on interesting programming utility inherent in the language. Java opens the door to some programming paradigms not necessarily common in the C/C++ community. This discussion of the language is built around simple-to-complex programming examples. Whenever possible, we use examples that highlight real-life programming problems. Language features covered in this edition include use of reflection, inner classes, and the Java Native Interface. This is in addition to coverage of Java exception handling, Remote Method Invocation (RMI), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), interfaces, and more. Gentle readers from New Jersey (and others interested in graphics programming), be advised. While the Java Abstract Window Toolkit (AWT) is addressed, Java by Example does not focus on graphics programming. If your exclusively interested in the AWT, Swing classes, 2-D classes, and other graphics-specific capabilities, you'll be better served by one of the many fine books (Graphic Java comes to mind) focussing on those topics.
