    Sinopse

Photochemistry is the branch of chemistry concerned with the chemical effects of light. Generally, this term is used to describe a chemical reaction caused by absorption of ultraviolet, visible light or infrared radiation. The text Photochemistry provides unique aspect of photochemistry. The impact of coupled NOX/aerosol aircraft emissions on ozone photochemistry and radiative forcing has been focused in first chapter. In the investigation of light harvesting complexes, light-induced infrared difference spectroscopy has been proposed in second chapter. An overview on energy and molecules from photochemical/photocatalytic reactions has been presented in third chapter. In fourth chapter, an overview of different aspects of the unique chemistry research on curcumin has been discussed. Fifth chapter focuses on UV absorption, the first photochemical step in semiconductor photocatalysis. Sixth chapter deals with designing and synthesis of new fluorine substituted pyrimidine-thion-5-carbonitriles and the related derivatives as photochemical probe agents for inhibition of vitiligo disease. In seventh chapter, we describe intermolecular trapping of the photochemically generated diradical intermediate 2 and its derivatives with alkenes or alkynes. A review of some recently reported photoinitiating systems for polymerization under soft conditions has been provided in eighth chapter. Ninth chapter summarizes selected examples of intra- and intermolecular photodecarboxylations involving phthalimides in a commercially available dwell device. Tenth chapter investigates the photochemical properties of potential photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy, namely four commercial heptamethinecyanine dyes. In eleventh chapter, thia and selenocarbocyanines with n-alkyl chains of different length, namely with methyl, ethyl, propyl, hexyl and decyl substituents, have been studied in homogeneous and heterogeneous media for comparison purposes. Twelfth chapter discusses on Heparin assisted p
