    Sinopse

Plant physiology is a sub discipline of botany concerned with the functioning, or physiology, of plants. Closely related fields include plant morphology, plant ecology, phytochemistry, cell biology, genetics, biophysics and molecular biology. The text Plants Physiology and Metabolism provides an introduction to the metabolic and developmental physiology of higher plants from a molecular biological point of view. A spatial network to coordinate circadian physiology in plants has been focused in first chapter. In second chapter, we focus on physiology of PSI cyclic electron transport in higher plants. Physiological and yield responses of soybeans under water deficit have been discussed in third chapter. The influence of biotic and abiotic stress factors on physiological traits of sugarcane varieties has been introduced in fourth chapter. The aim of fifth chapter to estimate of rock wool and coconut fiber substrates on productivity and quality of tomato hybrids ‘Raissa’ and ‘Admiro’. Sixth chapter discusses on plant primary metabolism and plant–pathogen interactions. Seventh chapter describes a model explaining how an individual enzyme contributes to a distinct unit structure of the cluster in amylopectin. Eighth chapter discusses how cadmium-induced changes in the growth and oxidative metabolism of pea plants. The interaction of cytosolic and plastidic nitrogen metabolism in plants has been proposed in ninth chapter. Tenth chapter deals with possible role of phenylpropanoid metabolism in impart stage specific and differential immunity. The aim of eleventh chapter is to evaluate the metabolic changes and the effects on sugarcane plant growth caused by the application of different doses of glyphosate. The objectives of twelfth chapter are to monitor and evaluate the alterations caused by water-deficit stress on the polyamine metabolism of the cotton pistil and its subtending leaf. The function of peroxiredoxins in plant organelle redox metabolism has been described in t
