FANCY POP DESIGNS

Many modern designs have been influenced by designs from the 1980s. This title showcases about 200 items, including posters, CDs, fashion, book covers, packaging for cosmetics and sweets and more. The book is divided into five sections: Cute Punch, New' 80s, Techno Pop, Comical Pop, and Neon Dreamy. "Techno Pop" is the original Japanese term referring to music that bands like "Perfume" or performers such as "Miku Hatsune" represent. These designs contains geometric shapes that gives a neo-futuristic impression. "Comical Pop" showcases designs that are high-impact and colorful, like those featuring in American comic design. Last but not least, "Neon Dreamy" section shows dreamy designs with neon colors. Japanese pop star Kyari-Pamyu Pamyu represents the idea of Neon Dreamy well. The designs might be based on '80s design but their association with pop-celebrities and recreation by young artists makes them something completely new. All designers in this titles are young, talented, up-and-coming artists from over the world. These classic designs evoke nostalgia for those who remember the '80s well, while at the same time making a fresh impression on younger Millennials.
