I SAW THE SUN

Since the age of eleven, Rainer Judd has kept journals tracing the inner and outer worlds of her life in New York City and the Marfa highlands, the distinctive landscapes in which she grew up. This debut collection of poetry forms a sustained reflection on the natural world and finding one’s path. Interwoven ink drawings of shooting stars, fields, and mountain peaks reflect the fragile and phenomenal sights of far West Texas. I Saw the Sun introduces an intimate, accessible voice and an astute eye that offers an immersive exploration of place and belonging.
