MARCHA BRASIL 14 MIL

On May 25, 1991, three men departed form Água Branca Park, in São Paulo, with six Manga-Larga Marchador horses and an ambitious mission: ride to the southern tip of Brazil, Chuí (RS), and from there to Oiapoque (AP) at the northern top of the country, to then return to their starting point. Two years later, with almost nine thousand miles conquering roads and canyons under their belt, the Marcha Brazil 14 Mil was included in the 1994 Guinness Book of Records, for the record for the Long-distance Riding through Brazil. This book, based on the diaries of horseman Pedro Luiz Dias de Aguiar, relates the 775 days of the historic Marcha through the entrails of a continental country.
